WILDCAYS Dancing excels with Lassie pride Although the Lassies have been a tra- dition for years, they have not remained the sarne. Their outfits have evolved from the blackwatch plaid knee length skirts of 1963 to the red plaid six inches above the knee skirts of today. Now three cuts and many perform- ances later, of the 300 girls who tried out, only 64, the largest number ever, remain. Lassies help promote school spirit as well as entertain by performing at half time. The Lassies were led this year by Captain Nancy Murphy and Co-captain Debbie Rothbard.
