Choirs sing out with love Christmas preparations at Thornridge were not complete until December 15, when the five choirs of the music depart- ment presented their annual Christmas concert. The theme of this year's concert, God is Love, was delivered to the audience through the artwork of Mrs. Janet Nem- itz and the performance of the Freshman Choir, Girls Glee, Girls Chorus, Sopho- Above: Girls Chorus' delicate harmony floats across the auditorium. Above Right: julie Koval's flute accompaniment added variety to Girls Glee Club and Chorale numbers. Right: The eyes of these Sophomore Choir mem- bers are focused on their director, Miss Karen Kennicutt. more Choir, and Chorale. The Madrigals caroled before the pro- gram and the procession of choirs fol- lowed to open the concert. Directed by Mr. Lamar Runestad and Miss Karen Kennicutt, the choirs sang a wide variety of Christmas carols. A large gathering of Chorale alumni, along with the Chorale, sang the Hallelu- jah chorus which concluded the concert.
