Thornridge is you! What is TR? TR is people living, working, learning together five to seven hours each day. We all share experiences such as leaving school early when a wa- ter main breaks or self-scheduling each semester. TR is you! People, not buildings or classrooms, make TR. Some are teachers. Some are deans, counselors, or adminis- trators. All are students, learning some- thing new everyday. Above Left: Cafeteria food appears agreeable to DaveTanner. Opportunities widen for TR students After attending a full day of school, whether they are dismissed at 12: 15 or at 2:05, many students also participatein extra-curricular activities. These activi- ties range, according to whatever inter- ests a-student may have, from sports to performing groups, to academic-related clubs. Students may put on their dancing shoes for Lassies, push on their thinking caps for Math Club, or pull on their bathing caps for swimming. I Instead of, and sometimes even in ad- dition to, extra-curricular activities, many students have part-time jobs. ln recent years students have begun to take on more and more responsibilities. Each student works, whether at a job, in an activity, or even strictly academi- cally, toward making himself his own person: involving himself in things and areas which interest him and which wid- en the scope of this life as a part of TR's World of Sunshine.
