Spring brought an air of excitement and expectation to TK Sayoko Eguchi, an exchange student from Grand Rapids, accompanied the Seniors on their trip to Washington. Upon their return, they attended the Junior-Senior From, ’’Showers of Stars. Gary Gaye, Jamie Margaret, and Rob Mary were among the couples in formal attire. Spring brought the combination Spring Art and Music Show. The graduation committee made plans. At the close of spring, thoughts turned to summer and the next year, with Ted and Ter as leaders.

JttfuO 1-ltCjlv The Junior High students were busy with their varied activities, which included studies as well as recreation. Joyce, Sandy, Nora, and Howard were the officers of the highly rated band. The eighth grade orientation class had many interesting exhibits, including Mary's clay dishes, for Open House. On Slop Day, Tom, Jim, Terry, Bill and Berl were right in style. Since all Junior High were required to take plenty of exercise, as Dave and Keith agreed. The hall by the Boy's Gym was the social gathering place for many Junior High boys and girls.

ErcL Yoaa One page can but suggest the happenings of the hectic days as the year ended. Mr. Lawrence received a watch from the faculty, administration, and school board as he completed twenty-five years of service; the French and Journalism classes had sampled the gourmet table at Gull Harbor; and a Senior English class was only one of many in the throes of final exams. The emptiness of the corridor speaks eloquently as the last student and teacher have gone through the open door into summer vacation.
