Martin Train investigated the case, upcoming Durant trial. “We’re All Guilty” Wilma Shaw, crippled by the accident, displayed bravery throughout the trial. Is Senior Verdict on December 3 and 5 WE'RE ALL GUILTY, a courtroom drama, written by James Reach, was the play presented by the Senior Class. The story takes place in the juvenile court of Judge Sylvia Fraser (Sandra Solomon), who is hearing the case of Gary Du- rant (Allen Peters), accused of criminal negligence. Because of his alleged reckless driving, he caused Betty Jo Kelton (Rosann McKeown) to go off the road and roll the car she was driving, crippling her best friend Wilma Shaw (Mary Bliss). Gary's mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Durant, (Pam Park and Ed Cless) express a belief that their son is not guilty. On the other hand, Betty Jo's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelton (Bill Wieringa and Bonnie Raymond) express an opposite belief. Among others who blame Gary are Johnny Shaw (Dennis Kros- schell) and his widowed mother (Gaye Marble), who courageously bears the strain of caring for a permanently crippled daughter. Even the Haggertys, (Norman Proctor and Marcella Gronewold), whose daughter Ruth (Nancy Ver- linde) was riding with Gary on the night of the accident, condemn him and their wild daughter. Ruth loyally refuses to reveal the truth. Prosecutor Martin Train (Dave Butler) begins to crack the case when, despite the protests of newsman Tyler Connell (Nelson Haight), he presents the evidence that Betty Jo's father bribed the authorities to give his inept daughter a driver's license. Betty Jo breaks down, admitting that she lost control of her car after being harrassed by the more skillful Gary. Continuity is furnished by Sergeant Dan Boland (Dennis Haight), who calls a train of witnesses, and by court stenog- rapher, Elsie (Sharon Beeler), who makes a permanent record of the case which reveals that all of society is guilty. Cary's a good boy The Haggertys were jovial . . . . . . while Tyler Connell was bored. . . . but not a very good poker player.
