le6bC6Lfi0I'l Way j7AOI'l'l6t:5 ln the 42 years that Mr. Thomas has been a part of the Thompson Community, he has given something to our school which cannot be measured. He has given himself! His devotion and belief in this school can be felt by everyone. His responsibilities here at Thompson Academy are many: First and foremost is his position as Assistant Head- master. As Mr. Wright's advisor, he lends his Wisdom and experience to the operation of the school. As Athletic Director, Mr. Thomas is the man who instituted varsity sports as a part of Thompson's program. When he first came to the island, there were only intramurals, and the fields that the players had to use vveren't very satisfactory. Mr. Thomas is also the Industrial Arts Teacher. It was he who raised the funds to purchase the modern equipment that is in his classroom. Another of his jobs is acting as Head of Grounds. One can easily spot his love for Thompson Academy by the way he meticulously sees to it that every inch of ground on the island is taken care of properly- from supervising the raking of leaves in the fall to keeping the students off of the athletic fields when it is raining. Aside from having these many responsibilities, Mr. Thomas has also been married for thirty-five years and has seen his son through Thompson Academy. This is the kind of man to whom We dedicate our years at Thompson Academy. l 1
