-...fx 'UL aw- ' 4gfZ'i?' MR. FRANK D. DIBBLE H eadnmsler Mr. Dibble is completing his second year as Headmaster here at Thompson Academy, but it seems as though he has been here much longer. This is suggested by the great changes that have taken place in the last two years in the academic curriculum and in the athletic program. A better preparation for college is offered now, and, as a result, a greater number of Thompson students are matrieulating at institutions of higher learning. The enlarged athletic program has enabled more boys with varied interests and abilities to participate in competitive sports, including the new soccer team, as well as the additions last year of cross country, hockey, and lacrosse. These innovations have greatly improved Thompson Academy and have made it a school where boys can obtain a well-rounded preparation for whatever task they may seek to undertake in the future. We, his students, would like to thank him for what he has done for us and wish him well in his future efforts to make Thompson Academy an outstanding institution.

MRS. RITA DIBBLE Mrs. Frank Dibble is the woman behind Thompson Academy's headmaster. Her energy and enthusiasm have been noticed and felt by all on the island. Mrs. Dribble spent her childhood in Holyoke, Massachusetts. After attending local schools, she went on to the Springfield Museum and Library. There she learned the functions of a library. This experience proved invaluable in the im- provement and restructuring of the Thompson Academy Library. Mrs. Dribble also displayed her considerable cooking talent, in a time of crisis, by cooking for the whole school for two weeks. We, the Class of 1969, wish to take this opportunity to express to her our warmest appreciation for her contribution to the school.
