. hmm' MR. FRANK D. DIBBLE Headmaster Mr. Frank D. Dibble succeeded Mr. Houghton Pearl as Headmaster of Thompson Academy on July 1, 1967. He is the eleventh Headmaster in the 154 year history of the school. Mr. Dibble is a graduate of Holyoke High School Cl94OJ, Deerfield Academy 09423, and Amherst College Cl946J. He has had graduate study in physical education at Springfield College, in speech at Northwestern University and in history at Amherst College. During World War II he served as a naval oflicer aboard a landing craft in the Pacific. Following the war he completed his undergraduate work at Amherst and then served on the faculty there for two years before going to Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass. in 1950. Mr. and Mrs. Dibble and their three children have been most welcomed additions to Thompson Island. Mrs. Dibble serves as school librarian. Sandy, their older son, is a sophomore at Amherst College. Ann is a sophomore and Dave a freshman at Thompson. The members of the Senior Class wish to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to Mr. Dibble for his efforts in our behalf and for his faith and confidence in us.
