611155 History The year 1962 marks The second graduaTing class To have gone Through The Tour year academic curriculum since The name Farm and Trade School was changed To Thompson Academy in 1956. As Freshmen we elecTed Ralph PaTTerson presidenT and George Mader vice presidenT. As Sophomores we elecTed Ron BaTes presidenT and Bill O'STeen vice presidenT. As Juniors we elecTed Ned McGonagle presidenT, and James Gorman vice presidenT. ln our senior year Ralph PaTTerson was again elecTed presidenT, James Gorman vice presidenT, wiTh George Mader as secreiary and Ted STokes Treasurer. Bill G'STeen was chosen STudenT Council presidenT wiTh Rory Dewar and MarTha Lindsey as The senior rep- resenTaTives. The class sponsored a food aucTion, The FooTball Vic- Tory Dance and The Senior Prom. The class has achieved a high academic sTanding and over fiTTy per cenT have parTicipaTed in varsiTy aThleTics. We are proud To have won The inTramural soTTball championship Tor Three con- secuTive years. BaccalaureaTe Services were held on June 5Th with GraduaTion following on June lOTh.
