Wwe came! 'Wa saw! Xwe conquered? We Came-- Yes, three long years ago a group of eager teen-agers started their first year in Senior High School, Our entrance into Senior High School gave us that feeling of importance which every student experiences, but we soon learned that we were a long way from being conquerors, However, that first year, with the help of the teachers, we started growing up, ' We Saw-- That first year passed and we became Juniors, We saw this was to be the next-to-the-greatest year of our school life, Many wonderful things happened for this was the year we received our class rings, some of our boys made the football and basketball teams and two of our girls were cheerleaders: we planned and presented our junior Play, our class entertained the Seniors with a banquet, We participated in May Day and several of the other highlights of the year, But with all of this, we still knew our great year was yet to be, We Conquered-- Then came our Senior Year--the most glorious of all, Again there are many marvelous ventures in store, Moneymaking becomes our first goal as we meet and vote to take a trip to Washington by 'Seaboard in the spring, We've operated the Supply Store, sold jackets and sweaters, sponsored suppers in the cafe- teria, sold Christmas cards and magazines, We plan to sponsor a Donkey Basketball Game and many smaller activities, Then will come our Senior Play, the wonderful day of departure on the trip, and finally the greatest of all--Graduation Day, when we don our caps and gowns to receive that great prize-- our diploma, However, the time to say Farewell descends upon us, but we realize that the contacts we have made with others have been the foundations for our lasting friendships, our patient and endless efforts together and with our teachers, parents, and friends to make these dreams come true have done much to influence our minds and characters. Although we will leave Thomasville High School, we will never for- get our Alma Mater, happy memories will be in our hearts wherever we may go, A break in routine? 2? Just what I wanted! l !
