SCHOOL CALE DAR September 14-XVe're back to our three R's. At last-Seniors, but feeling so undigniHed! September 18--Everybody turned out to cheer our boys to victory in the Hrst football game of the season. The Bulldogs defeated Camilla! October 9-The Barefoot Girls had their day, when junior Tri-Hi-Y members wore blue-jeans, checkered shirts, and pigtails to school for their initation. October 20--All T'ville High braved the dump-heaps and rummaged trash cans as the whole school turned out to participate in the Scrap Drive. November 1 1-We participated in the colorful Armistice Day Parade, after which we all made our way to Valdosta to see our boys whip the Wildcats 14-12! November17-Senior class oflieers are elected. These are our choice: president, Bivins GriHing viee-presi- dent, Bill Colvin, secretary, Louise Collinsg treasurer, Anne Alday. November 27-Thanksgiving Holidays and the end of football! December 4-Spooks were on the loose tonight! The Thespians presented their play The Ghost in the December 18 Belfry. -The Glee Club gave a beautiful Christmas program in chapel today, which gave us a real send-off for those long awaited Christmas Holidays. January S-Four new members were inducted into the National Honor Society in a very impressive serv- ice. The new members were Burma Cox, Anne Alday, Jimmy Evans, and James Knepton. February 19--A night of K0mical Komediesn was sponsored by the Tri-Hi-Y and presented by mem- March 19- bers of the Speech Department. The rafters rang out to the tune of In Old Louisiana, the Glee Club's annual operetta. As the annual goes to press, we can still look forward to such events as the one- act play, debate, junior-Senior, Senior Play, and Commencement. l l
