N' , f is X s ' l 1 Commander Chrisman was born in Port Arthur, Texas on 8 October 1941. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1964 and Master of Arts Degree in 1976. In 1965 Commander Chrisman entered the United States Navy and attended Officer Candidate School at Newport, Rhode Island. After receiving his commission he entered Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and was assigned his first tour of duty in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as Ordnance Officer. Following this tour of duty, Commander Chrisman served as Communications Officer, Anti-Submarine Warfare QASWQX Nuclear Weapons Officer and Weapons Officer on USS ROBINSON QDDG-12, from 1968 to 1971. He then attended Naval Destroyer School QSurface Warfare Officer School, Department Head Coursey. Following graduation he was assigned to USS AGERHOLM QDD-826j as Operations Officer and also served as Weapons Officer from 1971 through 1972. Commander Chrisman then split toured as First Lieutenant on USSCLEVELAND QLPD-7, from 1973 through 1974. Following his tours of sea duty Com- mander Chrisman attended the Armed Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA, and Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA. He received a MA degree in National Security Affairs and a subspecialty designator in Intelligence. Following Postgraduate School, Commander Chrisman was assigned to the Headquarters of Third Marine Amphibious Force, Okinawa, Japan, where he served as Navy Liaison Officer to the Com- manding General. One year later Commander Chrisman reported aboard USS BRISTOL COUNTY QLST- 1198j as Executive Officer, serving from 1978 to 1980. Commander Chrisman was then assigned to the Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C. from May of 1980 to April 1982. Commander Chrisman's military decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Armed Forces Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Battle Efficiency E Ribbon, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Navy Expert Pistol Medal. Commander Chrisman is married to Dianne L. Shaw. They have one daughter, Joy Aylane age 15, and one son, Gregory Lynn age' 11.

X Commander Henry Otto Nicol III is a 1968 NROTC graduate of Villanova University with a degree in Political Science. Prior to college he attended Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, Virginia. His first assignment was USS Chemung QAO-30j, followed by a tour of duty in Vietnam with Fleet Command Advisory Unit, Naval Advisory Group and Military Advisory Command. Commander Nicol then report- ed to Naval Destroyer School, Newport, Rhode Island. From 1972 to 1975 he was assigned to USS Harold E. Holt QFF-10741. Following a tour of duty at the Naval Ship Weapon Systems Engineering Station he received orders to USS Kiska QAE-35, and in 1980-81 to the Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific Staff. Executive Officer Nicol's decorations include the Bronze Star with Com- bat V, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with com- bat V, the Purple Heart and the Vietnamese Navy Staff Honor Award First Class.
