Because of this man The clouds began to be lost. Because of this man Hills were for climbing on, To better see dreams. Not for hiding under to forget Promises. Because of this man Rains were a symbol of life, Not regrets - Snow a sign of fresh renewals, Not cold purgings. Because of this man A vision of happiness, Togetherness, and accomplishments Of young minds was spearheaded And became a reality. And the youths who walked in Hesitant left men and women, Secure in the knowledge That there was one who cared. So they called him Kaz For thus he was and is Mr. Joseph Kazluskas. Therefore the Class of 1976 with all respect and gratitude, proudly dedicates this book to you, Mr. Kaz, for being not just a person but a friend. 3

 As the tide of time laps away at the shore of our lives, the footprints we have made upon the shoreline through the years are slowly washed away. New prints are made by those who follow, and as time passes no one knows we've been there unless we can leave something of ourselves behind; a marker on the shore so that others will know we've been this way. ” This, the 1976 Owl, is our marker so that the class of '76 will not be forgotten.
