1 1 1 1 1 T THE DHL SCHOOL SB Alt NUMBER : VOLUME 2 I r TKOMASTON COMM. (T THE SCHOOL SEAL Thomaston High School has maintained a high standard for a long time in various fields of endeavor. We are proud of our school and feel that it should be identified by some sort of permanent device. Probably the finest and most appropriate emblem is a school seal. This year we have managed to obtain one. Our school seal has been taken from the emblem on the curtain in the auditorium, which was designed by Thomas Davenport of the class of 1939. The outstanding feature of the school seal is a large clock signifying that we of Thomaston High School are historically known as The Clockers from the Clock Town. Below the clock there is a book symbolizing knowledge, and on either side is a lighted candle which throws the light of learning on our school. We should be extremely proud of our school seal and keep in mind at all times the significance of the design, remembering always that we as individuals, set our mark on everything we say and do. Only as we, the students of Thomaston High School, uphold the ideals symbolized by our school seal, will it have a true meaning for us all. The Owl Staff takes pleasure in dedicating this volume of the Owl to ENOS N. DRUMM It is our small way of showing our appreciation and gratitude for his sincere interest in each and every student, his advice and counsel, and his unswerving loyalty to our school 5 r r T ?
