CO-EDITORS Carolyn Garner Geniece Landis At 8:46 eacL morning another page is opened in Thomas High School's giant history book. The halls filled with chatter about classes, extracurricular activities, and the active students are the words which fill the pages. We, the 1969 Terrier Staff, under the direction of Mrs. Peggy Litsch, have tried to put these words into pictures in the 1969 Terrier Yearbook. We hope as you leaf through these pages, you will relive many treasured moments spent at T.H.S. The 1969 Terrier Staff 3 DR. W. O. YOUNG He was one of the Terriers most loyal and ardent fans and was nearly always to be found in the bleachers at game time. He proved his interest in the Terriers in a practical manner also by the many times he assisted in outfitting the teams with equipment. We, the 1968-69 Annual Staff, would like to dedicate this page in memory of him. OUR SUPERINTENDENT MR. DWAINE SCHNEIDER SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE I wish to heartily commend Mrs. Litsch and her fine Annual Staff for publication of this Yearbook. The business-like manner in which the sponsor and students conducted this year’s work exemplifies the best in our youth. If I could state the philosophy of Thomas High School 1 should like to say, It is our purpose to have and be the best and most within our capabilities and resources.” 6 PRINCIPAL CHARLES J. ROSS There is nothing that is more lasting in the memory of a school year than the school annual. I would like to express my appreciation to the annual staff for the fine effort they have given in the production of the 1969 Terrier Annual. Wherever you go, go proudly and confidently, as one of the Thomas High School’s ambassadors of goodwill. Charles J. Ross, Principal BOARD OF EDUCATION A. C. This year was an especially big one with three State Speech Contest Winners: Brian Hamar, Dale Teeters, and Cary Foster. This year saw Cary Foster receive a State Foun- dation Award, first in Home Improvement and the Thomas FFA Chapter receive a State Foundation Award, first in Farm Electrification. Most of the members took part in livestock and land judging contests during the year, placing or winning in many of these contests. The purpose of this organization is to make boys of America into Future Farmers of America. Mr. Pennington, the Thomas FFA Advisor, is definitely contributing to this high ideal. 70 Feeding time BACK ROW: Brian Hamar, Sentinel; Phil Wherritt, Treasurer; Rolan Christensen, Reporter; Gordon Christensen, Secretary.
