ROBERT CHESSON In addition to being appointed to the United States Naval Academy, Robert was extrememly involved in numerous activities at Thomas Jefferson. He was the Senior Class Presiendt, and Ebblide Editor, a homeroom Cabinet Representative, a member of Stua dent Body Congress, a member of the Astronomy Club, Ecology Club and Drama Club. His academic acheivement and club involvement earned him a position at Boys' State. He was also a member of the National Honor Society. 3 RYAN VURLICER Ryan was extremely involved in the following organizations: Calculator Team, Academic Decathlon, Astronomy Club, Ecology Club, Chess Club and Science Club He was an Ebbtide editor and a reporter for The Pilot. His list of awards included: lst place in Texaco Star Academic Challenge, Na- tional Academic Championship, bronze medalist in Science Academic Decathlon and a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. . ,1 x . SUENDA CLEWIS In addition to being a 1987 CavOILcade Finalist, Suenda was in Thomas Jeffersons SymphoniclMar- ching Band. She was the Secretary of the Heralds Ser- vice Organization, President of the Ecology Club and Corresponding Secretary for the National Honor Society. She was a member of Student Body Congress and was an active worker in collecting money for charity.

He received several awards which include: National Achievement Scholarship for Outstanding Negro Students, Who's Who Among High School Students, Congressional Scholar, Academic All American, Stanford University Scholarship and International Science competition. MINH CHAU NGUYEN Minh was a member 0f1he student body congress and class cabinet. STEVEN SPEARS Steven was secretary of the National Honor Society, a member of student body Congress and a member of Youth and Government. He was a varsity basketball player in addition to being a member of the basket- ball team for four years. He planned to attend Baylor or Texas A 8L M University and possibly major in engineering. HOANG QUA PHAM Hoang was a member of the National Honor Society and a staff member ofthe YellowJacket and The Pilot. He was a varsity basketball player and a sporfs editor for both the yearbook and the newspaper. He planned to attend Texas A 8L M University where he hoped to major in biophysics. J ASON DAVALOS Jason was the vice president for the Jefferson Union of German Students and for the local chapter of the Office Education Association. He attended Region and Smte Leadership Conferences for O.E.A., and during his sophomore year he was awarded first place in COBOL programming at the state level, and ad- vanced to the National Leadership Conference. He was also a Junior Lions Member.
