Mr. Andy Jackson was sponsor of Con- gress. Congressmen were responsible for Campus Beau'ifi- cation Day, in which many other organizations and clubs parlicipa'ed. Congress also sponsored dances held after district football games. The Constitution was also changed to fil the needs of cur ever-changing school activities. Congressmen are a means of communication in accomplishing s'udenl goals. Not all of these goals were able to be accomplished, such as liberolizing the dress code and ending final exams, so ?he Congress of '75 will transfer these problems to the 1976 Congress. The Future Nurses Club was organized by the present sponsor Mrs. Jessie Judd Miller and received its charter in May 1952. It was the first club of this type in Texas and has been active during these past 23 years in help- ing to organize a state organization and more than 400 clubs throughout the state of Texas. Volunteer service is given to the local hospitals and other agen- cies. The service hours are usually 5-6 thousand per year given by this group. Three day field trips have been made each year throughout the state of Texas. The club visits hospitals and schools of nursing as well as state schools and other points of interest. The bus for this trip was secured by a portion of the proceeds received by the selling of programs at the home football games.
