PREPARATION FOR THE FUTURE With an eye to the times and the profits available in the bminess world, the Commercial Department offers courses to prepare their students to take jobs soon after they graduate. Emphasis is placed upon the basis of a good education in English, science, and mathematics, Courses in bookkeeping, typing, shorthand, general business, business communications, and law provide an adequate back- ground for future uses Distributive Education is a vocational course, but it is also a part of the business education picture. THE SHELVES OF KNOWLEDGE Anyone who has written a term paper or given a report of any kind has found the library to be of great value in re- searching the available information. From the various fields of study in high school, a student is expected to find his in- formation through outside reading. AIDS FOR FUTURE FAMILY LIFE Homemaking in this day and age requires a neat balance with homemakers often in career jobs outside the home or taking part in a wide variety of civic and social affairs. Home- makers need to be excellent budgetcers, skilled decorators, and marvelous cooks, to name only a few of their accomplishments.
