T. requires two periods of related study and two additional sub- jects. Graduation is not delayed by membership. Each student must work on the job at least twenty hours each week, preferably four hours per day for the five school days each week. .SIZLO 'Zi JANUARY CLASS HISTORY The story of these seniors, high school days is over. There are many memories that they will remember all though life. A number of these students will go on to greater heights of achievement, the same that has been shown by their outstanding work in school activities. In our Freshman Year, we found Kay Roan, Danilo Dominquez, Lawrence Suarez, and Nancy Wynns volunteering their talent to the Band. Others became members of the Y-Teens, Pan-American, and the Youth for Christ. As Sophomores, we saw Nancy Munjiovi cheering at football games, Betty Gray playing in the Band, and Dot Sisson was tapped by the Kiwanettes. Sam Puleo and Fred Papia were becoming stars in the Athletic Depart- ment along with Tom Fultz. The Junior Year was very exciting for all of us. The Honor Society tapped William Garcia, Lucille Tedesco, Dot Sisson, and Minerva Quintana. The Key Club recognized Russell Wells, Fred Papia, Joe Chao, and William Garcia as members. At last we are seniors. Joe Chao, Russell Wells, Felix Cannella, and Dominic Ficarrotta became officers in the R. O. T. C. while Jackie Miller and Nancy Wynns were sponsors. The Honor Society tapped Sylvia Rentz, Sylvia Maseda, Delma Brantley, Betty Beasley, Wanda Barr, joe Ficarrotta, Gene Robertson and Isaac Marcadis. The Student Council voted Sally Baker president. Co-Editors of the Jeffersonian were Felix Cannella and Lawrence Suarez. The Quill and Scroll was represented by Dot Sisson and William Garcia. The Kiwanettes voted Dot Sisson president with Alba Rendueles, Sylvia Renz, Virginia Parish, and Delma Brantley as new members. Thomas Alberdi and joe Perez became football players and Sylvia Maseda and Nancy Wynns, cheerleaders. We Shook the Family Treef' our class play, starring Sylvia Maseda and William Garcia, Was a huge success. Finally, Graduation! William Garcia, valedictorian, Isaac Marcadis, salutatorian, and Lucille Tedesco, essay- ist, prepared A Challenge to Youth, and following this, William and Dot received the American Legion awards. The Jeffersonian announced the following to its Hall of Fame: Dollie Antela, Music, Lawrence Suarez, Journalism, William Garcia, Scholarship, Dot Sisson, Senior Activities, Sally Baker, Student Government, Gene Robertson, Art, Sylvia Maseda, Drama, Thomas Fultz, Athletics, Nancy Wynns, Organizations, and Dominic Ficarrotta, Military.
