Secretaries Work to Keep Everyone Informed Mrs. Wxlmt hands the evcrvbusy Mrs. Miller another letter to type. MRS. II. WALTER MRS. M. MILLER MRS. B. GARBER MRS. C. RIGGAN MRS. E. SWIFT Secretary. Secretary. Mrs. Miller listens attcntively as Mr. Notment talks directly over het head. Guidance Secretary. Bookkeeper. Records Secretary. Typing numerous letters, announcements, and the daily absentee sheet occupied most of the secretaries' time. They were never too busy, however, to answer the deluge of questions from visitors, teachers, and students. Mrs. Walter's tasks sometimes included making deposits for school organizations and typing Mt. Brock's correspondence. Throughout the year, Mrs. Swift maintained a constantly-updated list of potential graduates and prepared the college-bound seniors' transcripts, Quite often the secretaries could be seen working long after students had left, trying to complete another day's work, Seeing that the daily attendance sheet was typed and distributed filled Mrs. Miller's time, Mrs. Garber fielded many of the incoming calls while Mrs, Riggan balanced voucher books and wrote checks.
