urszmnrd 5 ' S these brief Words are penned, there arises in the mind of the author the thought that before the close of an- other year the class of 1935 will have left forever, as .A For all of us the unfathomable future beckons our youthful ambition with an encouraging hand. In the course of the years some of us will have scaled the heights of political, economic, and social success, but for the majority life will creep in this petty pace from day to day as we seek the simple pleasures and necessities of a commonplace existence. 6 iii ' 6 students, the halls of Thomas Jefferson High School. xg gi? Yet, regardless of our future station, we shall always be able to look back to Thomas Jefferson, our Alma Mater, as the scene of much earnest study, good sportsmanship, joyous frivolity, and congenial companionship. Though perchance separated by vast continents and oceans, the members of the class of 1935 will ever be united in their common memories. That is the purpose of the 1935 Monticello. May pictures and print, humor and legend join all of us, scattered by the vicissitudes of life, so that in the words of Auld Lang Syne we may take care lest auld acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind .
