Myers has been principal of Thomas Jefferson since the high school opened in January, 1922. By hard work he has forged ahead in every line of work he has started. Mr. Myers began his education in a small town in Indiana, from where he graduated from the high school course. Graduating from high school, he started teaching, and from this position he was made principal of a consolidated school. Mr. Myers has held positions as principal and superintendent in many schools. Before the erection of Thomas Jefferson he was district principal of the West End schools. He has obtained his B. A. and masters' degree from Columbia university and has obtained a superintendent's certificate from the same university. He is a member of the Phi Delta Kappa educational fraternity. During his active life in Council Bluffs, Mr. Nlyers has become a member of the Rotary club, a Master Mason and a member of the First Methodist church. Mr. Myers is also the dean of secondary division of the World Federation of Educational associations, N. E. A. delegate in 1928, and sponsored the Nebraska university tour of Europe in 1929. lTe-nl
