The volleyball team had its ups and downs during the season like any other team. They were led by Coach Mrs. Gina Attel. The team had lots of potential and was very good. I thought we had a good chance of being the best in district. Our girls had what it took to be champions, stated Ms. Attel. The squad participated in the Jeffer- son Tournament in which they were successful against the Socorro Bull- dogs 15-13, and 15-5 but were unsuc- cessful against Las Cruces 15-6, 15-4 and Parkland 15-10 and 15-4. On October 24, the spikers headed down to Burges in hopes of beating a tough Mustang squad. They came back empty handed as they were defeated 15-6 and 15-1 1. The Foxes then went on to play the T-birds of Coronado and lost 15-8 and 11-9. Trying to break the streak, they played the lrvin Rockets only to lose 15-5, 15-8, and 15-4.
