Several members spent long hours after school playing chess for practice and pleasure. Chess Club members participated in various fund-raising projects, among them a candy sale, Turkey-grams, and a car wash. Chess Team members competed in numerous Chess tourna- ments. The money made by the club was used to pay the fees of many of these tournaments. The money was also used to pay for the club's annual pages.
