Not Shown are Rosa Manzon, Richard Fernandez and Norma Marmolejo. 1978 proved to be an outstanding Henderson what the qualifications for and great year for award winners: the scholastic awards were, I sort of Johnny Soliz, Ernie Fiocca, Norma thought that I might have a chance, so Marmolejo and Rosi Monzon. Such an I tried harder and I was happy to award is given for the student's out- standing academic achievements dur- ing their freshman year. Johnny Soliz said, I felt very happy to have accom- plished such an award. Ernie Fiocca said, When they announced at the awards assembly at receive the award. When asked Richard Fernandez replied, I was surprised when they told me I was an award recipient. At first I really tried hard but later I thought I might not have a chance, and decided to do my usual work. Rosa Manzon said, As it turned out I was one of the five, and couldn't believe it! Norma Marmolejo also mentioned that she had been trying to beat her- self each year, and knowing how everything turned out she did a pretty good job!
