A person who thinks that lunch, recess, and summer vacation are the best parts of school is definitely a mis- guided person. Don't get hung up on one thing, be active in all the ways you can, stated Lucita Bustamante. Lucita is a member of Teen Involve- ment Student Council, Science Semi- nar and is Junior Council vice-presi- dent She is among the few students who are active around campus. Being recognized as part ofa team of students is exciting, challenging, and rewarding, explained Lucita. Lack of participation is due to stu- dents self-understanding, Most stu- dents are shy or embarrassed to meet people. Others are afraid of being referred to as responsible adults. Still others believe it is the uncool thing to do explained Lucita. As a club member you make more friends, develop a concept of self- awareness . . . it breaks you out of your shell, concluded Lucita.
