Grchestra Competes In Durango This year's orchestra consisted of a quality, not a quantity group of musicians. Through time consuming rehearsals, the excellence known by the past Ieff orchestras was again achieved. This year, juniors Fer- nando Mancillas and Oscar Portillo and sophomore Danny Lopez made the All-Region and All-State Orches- tras. The orchestra sponsored the Annual Beauty Pageant Nov. 15, and pro- vided the music for the ceremonies. They also conducted a shampoo sale to raise money for their spring trip to the Durango, Colorado music festival and competition. They also took part in the Annual El Paso schools' Music Festival and Competition at Magofin Auditorium, U.T. El Paso. tbl?
