Directed by Miss Ruth Fankhauser, the choir performed at various func- tions such as the annual Christmas concert, the Bassett Center Mall and the El Paso National Bank lobby dur- ing the holiday season. Improve- ments were made musically in this year's choir, said Miss Fankhauser. More of Ieff's singers competed in the Annual Solo and Ensemble com- petition Feb. 21. Tony Murga, Yoli Moralez, and Eric Rivera made All- Region. Eric and Yoli also made All- Area. This year's fund-raising projects included shampoo and candle sales. This allowed the A choir to attend a music festival and competition at Durango, Colo. The choir's officers were president Tony Murga, vice president Mario Hernandez, secretary Yolanda Morales, treasurer Hilda Saenz, par- liamentarian Fredrick Iewell and robe chairman and librarian Margie Ponce.
