Tfdl Trouble-Shooters Gain Knowledge Cf Electronics The need for skilled technicians in the field of Industrial Electronics continues to grow each year. The electronics program offered at Tech was a two-year program consisted of three hours of class work each day. The students worked with testing equipment, tools and facilities like those in the electronics industry. Detailed instruction in areas such as layout, bread-boarding and trouble shooting with all types of test equipment kept pace with changing technology. Qualifications for a student enrolled in industrial elec- tronics had to indicate ability in technical work. A student must be a junior and have completed Algebra I. Academic average must indicate ability. SJ 24

44 Auto Mechanics Gfferecl At Tech To Gain Skills The rising need for well trained auto mechanics and elec- tricians gave many students at Iefferson a common goal. The job openings for high school graduates with on-the- job experience is tremendous. The will to learn gave these students a good chance at a promising future. Automotive electricity, a two-year program and auto mechanics, a three-year course, consisted of three hours of class work each day. In each of these courses, students at Tech were eligible for three credits per quarter toward graduation. Students in these courses worked in modern repair shops, with up to date tools, equipment and methods. CHJT 4? tc
