Tech Center Offers Free Iob Training Holding the position of Vocational Counselor, Mr. Lorenzo LaFarelle placed over 100 Ieff stu- dents in the vocational program. These courses were offered at El Paso Technical Center. Data Processing, Electrical -Trades, Printing, Cosmetology, Metal Trades, Dress Making, Home Economics and many other classes were available. Courses were offered only to sophomores and juniors because most courses extend over two or three years. Transportation to and from the Center posed no problem because the El Paso Independent School District furnished free bus transporta- tion from Iefferson for both the morning and the afternoon students. An individual could obtain three quarter-units credit per quarter for all sessions offered because each class was three class periods long.
