B-Team Cagers Defeat Bowie g Win Z-4A Crown The female B-Team basketball squad, tied with neighbor- hood rival Bowie until the day of the game, managed to hold the Bearettes down to a 48-37 score to obtain the dis- trict championship. Coach Betty Cruzan directed the team through district competition in which they ended 6-0. Early in pre-district competition the girls, led by Patsy Villa on the boards, captured the first place hardware from the Guillen Tournament. They defeated Fabens, Canutillo and Ysleta to win the tournament crown for the second consecutive year. up ii....... fbll f
