By obtaining a seven point edge over cross-country rival Bel Air, the varsity harrier squad received the 1975 District 2-4A championship. The team was coached by Mr. Mike Dickson and Mr. Iuan Vasquez. Placing in the top ten and receiving the All-District title was Mario Caballero, thirdg Frank Cuevas, fifthg and Fer- nie Nieto, sixth. At Regional competition the squad grasped a strong second place position with Mario Caballero, who finished 15th, obtaining an All-Regional honor for his performance. With a strong season slate to back them up, the team moved to Austin, Texas, where they finished fifth in State. Coach Vasquez' squad will be even stronger next year, with six runners returning to compete. Female Harriers Capture First At Final Tourne Participating in only six cross-country tournaments throughout the year, the female harriers managed to end the season with first place honors. The girls were directed by coach Betty Cruzan.
