Spikers' Hopes Pall Short At Bi-District After securing the 2-4A crown, Coach Gruzan's Spikers prepared for the playoff against 1-4A counterpart Burges. All action took place at El Paso High's gymnasium with Ieff's spikers winning the first set. Although the female Fox squad had the edge at the beginning they fell short of the city title when Burges capitalized on mistakes and won the following two sets in the game. B-Team Spikers Go Undefeatedp Attain Z-4A Crown The junior varsity squad, led by standouts Becky Onate Lovelia Camacho and team captain Patsy Villa, termi- nated the season with a 17-0 record and the 2-AAAA dis- trict hardware.
