Volle ball Squad Gbtains Z-4A Crown With 10-O Slate Before entering district play, Coach Betty Cruzan's volley- ball team had already established a 4-2 pre-district record and won a second place at their own tourney. In 2-4A action, the squad dominated the courts at each game which enabled them to earn the crown with a 10-0 record and two games left to play. The girls ended district play undefeated and the opportu- nity to compete against 1-4A district winner Burges for the city championship title. Spikers' Hopes Pall Short At Bi-District After securing the 2-4A crown, Coach Gruzan's Spikers prepared for the playoff against 1-4A counterpart Burges. All action took place at El Paso High's gymnasium with Ieff's spikers winning the first set. Although the female Fox squad had the edge at the beginning they fell short of the city title when Burges capitalized on mistakes and won the following two sets in the game.
