MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT Basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry are offered in the Mathematics Department. Accelerated courses in calculus, analytical geometry, and elementary functions are also available to those students desiring to further their studies in higher math. Often various colleges offer advanced placement tests which enable those students who have taken calculus and analytical geometry to be placed in higher mathematics courses.
