Dear Graduates, At this milestone in your lives, it is customary to look back over the paths you have followed, and then to look into the future, to plan for the road ahead. Although no one can presume to predict, there can be little doubt that you will be privileged to live through an era of tremendous change. History has shown that although such eras often try menls souls, they also produce great leaders and tremendous advances in human culture and welfare. During these last years, your teachers at Jefferson have tried to prepare you for the challenge ahead. XVe hope you have acquired a love for your fellow man, and a sincere desire to work unselfishly for the benefit of all humanity. As you leave us to join the growing army of Jefferson alumni who are striving to build a better tomorrow, you take with you the hopes and the good wishes of all your teachers. May the years bring us only glad tidings from each of you.
