El Rl -Q BUUTERS This year the jefferson Soccer team played a series of thrill-packed games that will not easily he forgotten by those that were fortunate enough to see the games. The Booters, overcoming set-hacls after set-back. managed to end up the 1952 P.S.A.L. season just outside the top-three circle. Qur opponents at first tended to underrate our Booters because we were lacking both weight and height. Une of our players, Nic Alexandroyich. is only 5' S , but they soon found he could fight hard. The Booters opened the season oflicially by heating Lafayette High School. Wie handed them their first and only defeat of the year. Our boys then went on to shellacla liort Hamilton High School, 4-O, and then we tied Klidwood. l-l. The rest of the season was not nearly as successful. Klost of the scoring was done by Neil Krinslsy, Captain of the team, and Marla Scheeterman, Co-Captain. Qur soccer team is a miniature League of Nations. It is a fine example of how people of different nations can worls peacefully together for a common cause. Practically every country in Europe has a representative on our team. The outstanding players of the team are: Saul Yellin, Xlartin Beer, Teddy Niemiec, Neil Krinslay, Nlarlt Seliecterman. Connie Yraeas, Niels .Xlexandroyich and Wialter Apyslto.
