THIS ISWHAT WE LIKE Beyond a shadow oT doubT we all like school. We especially like Monday morning because Monday is The beginning oT a Tull week OT school. As Monday morning rolls around we send a silenT prayer up To heaven, Thanking I-lim Tor leTTing us live on Mondays. WiTh loTs oT vigor and vim we snap ouT oT bed, dark and early. We Take our Time dressing and eaTing unTil we snaTch a lasT minuTe look aT The clock. 8:2OI AT break- neck speed we run down The sTeps and dash inTo The sTaTion iusT in Time Tor The oncoming Train. OT course we would TorgeT The ReTurn oT The NaTive. Well, iT's Too IaTe now. The subway Train Tinally crawls inTo Pennsylvania Avenue STaTion, and wiTh a pull, a shove, and a jerk we manage To Tree ourselves Trom The pushing crowds. Well, here we are aT JeTTerson, The dream oT every sTudenT. The TirsT Tew days oT The Term are The IoveliesT yeT. These days are spenT going Trom one room To The oTher wiTh drop slips, add slips and admiT slips. Well, we are Tinally seTTIed and ready To begin work. Oh, oh, wouldn'T you iusT know ThaT They would give us gym The TirsT period. I-Iow are we ever going To geT Trom The TiTTh Tloor oTTiciaI room down To The gym in Time To dress? We have only Tive minuTes in which To accomplish This impossibiliTy. Well, you can'T argue wiTh The I-IeaITh EducaTion DeparT- menT. This wouldn'T be Too bad, buT every Teacher insisTs ThaT we be on Time Tor class. In The swimming period The TirsT Ten minuTes oT The period are spenT undressing and geTTing inTo our swim suiTs. For The nexT TiTTeen minuTes we siT around The brink oT The pool waTching a demonsTraTion oT The crawl. P Then we are allowed To pracTice The crawl. Eagerly we clamber inTo The pool and commence To swim. Five minuTes oT This and Then we are dismissed. We love To swim and especially love To geT our hair weT.h Oh well, such is The liTe oT a JeTTersonian.
