Dear Graduates: Now that the diploma is yours, may I take just a few minutes of your time to put before you a few guiding principles to facilitate efficient living in a machine age. Increasingly as you grow older, you will realize that comparatively few people know how to take proper physical care of themselves in order effectively to meet the strain and stress of life today. A few words on this important topic are very much in order. To begin with, there is the matter of suitable diet. Heavy protein meals, Which served to build up the stature and provide the motor energy for the farm hand, are merely poison for the sedentary student or the office worker. To the Graduating Class, We have known each other but a short time. However, I should like you all to know that I have enjoyed working with you, especially with those of you whom I have grown to know so well. I also wish to thank you for the kind spirit of cooperation Which you have shown me. The thought I should like to leave with you is that you may all strive for a greater tolerance for your neighbors and that through service you may gain a deeper understanding of life. I extend my best wishes for success to all of you and I assure you that I shall always be interested in you. Sincerely yours, FLORENCE PETERS
