That which is a Teacher is often mislaid in a col- lection of theorems and irregular verbs. The essence of teaching is found only upon looking beyond its accompanying trivia. Those who are the meteors of intellect, and the impetus of learning, are as few, yet as important, as the .leffersons and Lockes who are their students. Therefore, their influence is second only to their responsibility for that influence.
