My Neck Hurts Beautiful, Beautiful White Stockings and Blue Shoes? 151 This year the Hornet staff would like to dedicate the 1981 Hornet to the Senior Class of Thomas Hart Academy. This class was the first grade class in 1970 when the school was founded, and the first class to graduate after attending Thomas Hart for twelve years. Of the twelve seniors, ten were members of the original first grade class. Two additional members joined the ranks in later years. The entire Senior Class agreed on certain aspects that have changed their lives. Attending Thomas Hart has influenced us in such ways as teaching us how to get along with others, accept responsibility, become more independent, and has helped each of us grow as individuals. In a poll of the Sr. Class the favorite musical groups included: Journey, Lynnard Skynnard, The Commadores, Alabama, Air Supply, David Gates, Jimmy Buffet, Christopher Cross, and of course, the Fantastic Shakers. Some of the favorite songs were: Sailing, Rocky Top, Oh, No, Beth, Sharing the Night Together, Leather and Lace, You're More Than A Number, and Old Flame. Three of the favorite movies include Halloween, Arthur, and Stripes. Most popular actresses were: Jamie Lee Curtis, Barbra Streisand, Olivia Newton-John, and especially Loni Anderson. The favorite actors were Robert Redford, Burt Reynolds, Clint Eastwood, Richard Pryor, Michael Landon, and Dudley Moore. The favorite foods of the seniors were: steak, hamburgers, pizza, French fries, moon pies, and the all-time favorite, Mrs. Gardner's biscuits. By far the favorite pastime of the Sr. Class is Having a GOOD TIME! The past twelve years have been full of good times, as well as bad, but no matter how far we go from Thomas Hart or each other, we will always remember, with happiness, the years of friendship we shared and the time we had together to grow. 23
