Working on a yearbook is much more than just a journalistic opportunity. It gives the student insight into the workings of a real business, handling real money. The making of this year was an ex- perience in my life which I shall never forget. Despite the usual problems of a too-small staff, a new advisor and scheduling, my staff and I created a 200— page yearbook. As editor-in-chief I planned the book and assigned staff members to various areas of the book. I would like to thank many people: Mr. Tout and Mr. Dinkens for their valuable experience and encour- agement; my staff for their diligence; Gene Alvarez and Ed Bowers of Tower Studio for photography, supplies and training of student photographers; and Larry Glaze of Paragon Yearbooks for the countless hours spent helping the Hilltopper staff.
