Rumbaugh and Lash lead their Ben Davis opponents. pil-aesters end rough season Facing a rugged opposition, Howe's 1955 cross country team won 3 of 9 meets under the coaching of Ray Bowman. The harriers defeated Warren Central and Columbus by one point each. The Hornets also defeated Lawrence Central in the last meet of the year. In the sectional, Howe placed ninth and in the city meet they placed seventh. Ron Hackleman was chosen team captain at the end of the season.
