The 1947 Pageant oi Achievement was highlighted when, to the strains of l-lail to the Queen of the Violets, Carole Davis, Violet Queen, ascended to the throne Where the Philosopher of the Tower greeted her and reviewed the events ofthe past year. This Pageant of Achievement is held each spring to celebrate the birthday ofthe school and recognize the progress ot the year.

Their choices were Beverly Tooth- man, Gloria Wood, lulia Moore, Mary lo Taylor, and lane Goken treading clockwisel. lane was chosen as Sweetheart. UPPER RIG-l-IT-Track Queen loyce lones and her attendants Beverly Toothman, Diane l-lays, and Margie Deputy are pictured after being honored by the track team. LOWER LEFT-The Violet Queen is shown with her court and pages. They are Qleit to rightl Phyllis McKee, Roberta lohnston, Queen Carole Davis, Mary Io Taylor, and loan Bayly. Pages are Shirley Weise and Pat Basye. LQWER RIGHT-The homecoming football game was highlight- ed by the crowning of Phyllis I-lalcomb Ccenterl as Football Queen with Ellen Barnes and Virginia Eubanlc as her attendants.
