A for The Builders All are architects of Fate, Working in these walls of Time Some with massive deeds and great, Some with ornaments of rhyme. Nothing useless is or low; Each thing in its place is best; And what seems but idle show Strengthens and supports the rest. For the structure that we raise, Time is with materials filled; Our todays and yesterdays Are the blocks with which we build. Truly shape and fashion these; Leave no yawning gaps between; Think not because no man sees, Such things will remain unseen. In the elder days of Art, Builders wrought with greatest care Each minute and unseen part; For the gods see everywhere. Let us do our work as well, Both the unseen and the seen; Make the house where gods may dwell Beautiful, entire and clear. Else our lives are incomplete, Standing in these walls of Time, Broken stairways, where the feet Stumble, as they seek to climb. Build today then strong and sure, With a firm and ample base; And ascending and secure Shall tomorrow find its place. Thus alone can we attain To those turrets, where the eye Sees the world as one vast plain And one boundless reach of sky. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

First Verse Class Song The time is here to say good-bye To friends we ' ve found so dear We won ' t forget you Walker School And the time that we ' ve spent here Second Verse The guidance you have given us Will mingle with our tears And brighten up our glad young hearts Alone life ' s joyous years. Chorus To Walker School we bid adieu And now it ' s time to say That we have loved our stay with you And will come back some day. Composed By Barbara Howard Otistine Reid Dorothy Gray Tune: Auld Lang Syne Class Poem How we hate to say Good-bye To all we love so dear. We will never forget the many things That you have taught us here. So bright the future days may come, Our goals we may obtain. But we will remember that it was with you Our future really began. So as we leave this stage of life And future years pass by; We will never forget our memories Of the years at Walker High. Composed by Otistine Reid Dorothy Gray
