T a 1 o n Thomas Alva Edison Fairfax County, Virginia Thomas Alva Edison, from whom our school takes its name, is a man credited with many discoveries and innovations. One of the greatest inventions of this man is the elec¬ tric light bulb which is exemplified by this year’s cover. In keeping with Edison’s innovations, we have completely revamped this year’s Talon. It is now in chronological order according to the seasons. The book starts with summer and many preparations for school. Autumn is next with the beginning of the new school year, followed by winter with school in full activity. Finally comes spring, with commencement and the end of school. Other innovations include senior, faculty, and general directories. In addition to the directories we have tried to make it easy for you to find specific clubs, sports, etc. Therefore, at the top of each page, you will find an identification of the season and activity represented in that section.
