Mathematics Department Emphasizes the “Why” of a General math students Rusty Hansen, Frank Hulber, and Doris Hibbs test their knowledge at the blackboard. Kathy Back is a study in complete concentration as she takes an algebra I quiz. Edison’s Mathematics Department maintains a course of study that is modem in every respect. Even the student who desires only a brief encounter with the world of figures studies selected topics in General Math I and Math II. The traditional subjects, algebra, geometry, and inter¬ mediate math are all taught with a modern slant. A fourth year math course. Functions and Matrices, was pre¬ pared by the School Mathematics Study Group ' .
