Free At La t On January 26, 1981, Edison High School paid tribute to the freeing of the 52 American Hostages. The ROTC raised the flag while the Golden Bear Band played the Star Span- gled Banner. Student Council members lead the invoca- tion, and President Carlos Gutierrez addressed the student body with a few words on the Hostage Ordeal. Students celebrated the hostage release by wearing yellow ribbons. The trees and flag pole were drapped with yellow ribbons also.
