An outstanding event of this term took place at one of our assemblies when we were honored by the presence of Mr. Jonathan Bingham, a candi- date for the 23rd Congressional District, and Dr. Leon Nadrowsky, chair- man ofthe Physicians' Committee for Goldwater. They were two interesting and informative men. Outside the walls of Roosevelt, a hard fought cam- paign was taking place, as Mr. Lyndon Johnson ond Senator Barry Gold- water contested forthe i964 presidential election. Lyndon Johnson became the 35th president of the United States. Yet, there is something deeper than iust these events that brings special meaning to the word senior, The dictionary definition reads, more ad- vanced in dignity, rank, or office, and perhaps that is the answer. We have achieved a sense of belonging and a feeling of possessing qualities developed with the help of a devoted faculty.
