Class Prophecy We find ourselves gathered at T. C. H. S. in the year of 1964. 'Tis the loyal -and dig- nified class of '54, We look about to see if we are all present, no, someone is missing. It must be James Barker, little Jimmie . We see 'the clouds--iof dvustl--part and he arrives in his super, three cylinder, 12 passenger, customized, hot-rod It seems that Jake is now married and has several children. ,Ten to be exact. Now dhildren, let's all belhiave ourselves properly, this from MIS. Miller, our ex-sponsor, who is still quite sprritely and the 'terror of the freshmen. Charles Smith takes the rostrum and some order is restored. Charles has greyed slightly, due to worries over his ranch. His experiences with sharp dealers in high school have erraibledl Him to become a success. At the far end of tfne table we spy Hazel Florea, looking very prim and Hazel is teaching school for a career and has not had time for marriage. tConfitlen't- i-ally, she has her eye on the handsome young Sfupintendentl 'Do Haze1's right we come ufpon big Jim Weber. He is occupying his share, his FULL share, of the gathering. Mudh to our surprise he has become a used car and junk dealer. He has a large family I six foot and overl. His wife is not with him and we p suspect she is a victim .of overwork. Carol Ewoldt QMIS. Dubsl is the happy wife of a welleto-do rancher. We notice thuat the liife of 'the modern housewife is too hard. It tires one so to push buttons all day. Oh yes! There's Mercer over in the corner. He is wearing the same suit he graduated in. lIt has been let out a little around the waist.l He has earned htirnself a reputation for being miserly and his a. great deal richer than he lets on. He is driving a King Midget merely because it uses less gas than most models. He has never married! dlue to a deep-seated conviction that he ca.n't afford it As we cast one last look around we all join in the memory filled yell- 'Ray for the class of '54.
